Daegu is an exciting, multifaceted city with something to offer everyone. Daegu City Tour takes you to some of the most scenic parts of the city, and offers a glimpse into its cultural history.

The tour starts with Donghwasa Temple. Nestled in a valley at the base of the mountains, the temple dates back to the 5th century but has a timeless atmosphere. It is a popular destination for Buddhist worship and Zen meditation. It is also the resting place of an enormous Yaksayore-bul statue, commonly known as Medicine Buddha, who represents the importance of the idea of 'healing' in the local culture.

The next stop on the tour is ride on the Palgongsan Mountain Cable Car, which runs 1.2 km deep into the mountains. Get off at the peak and enjoy the panoramic views in a café or continue your journey on the hiking trail.

After lunch, the final stop on the tour is Seomun Market, Daegu's major market and one of Korea's three main markets during the Joseon Dynasty. This market is especially famous for its fabrics, textiles, clothes, accessories, and traditional Korean products, many of which reveal aspects of Korean life.

Gyeongju, Capital of the Silla Kingdom for 1,000 years

Travel back in time to Gyeongju, the city with a thousand-year old history. You can stroll around an age-old Buddhist temple and experience the charms of village life.

The Gyeongju tour begins at Bulguksa Temple, the UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its exceptional architecture and stonemasonry. The complex comprises a series of wooden buildings on raised stone terraces, which represent the land of Buddha. Visitors enter this representation of paradise by crossing stone bridges, and are then greeted by two stone pagodas which are both listed as National Treasures of Korea.

Gyochon Traditional Village is full of old hanok houses that carefully retained their period authenticity or have been converted to picturesque cafés. In addition to various performances, like a traditional wedding reenactment, the village offers various experience programs. We recommend trying on the festive traditional attire, called hanbok, which can turn ordinary outings into special occasions.
